Liv- The Big Sister 

The oldest sister and a natural born leader, Liv is a responsible young girl who enjoys teaching her little sister everything she knows. She loves unicorns, the color purple, and her favorite food is noodles. Liv is very responsible and helps her mom clean up and feed her dog, Kai, and teaches her little sister, Leigh, at every opportunity she gets. Liv’s favorite part of the day is when she, her sister, and her mother come together and read a new story every night.

Leigh- The Little Sister

Leigh is the adventurous, bold, and loving little sister. She is an avid learner and loves spending time with her big sister, Liv, who teaches and guides her. Leigh is a very curious young girl with a kind heart full of aspirations, that is always looking to be helpful. With her big sister as her guide, she learns and becomes more independent with every adventure she and her sister go on.

Me- The Mom and Author

Liv and Leigh’s mom, Chauntelle, loves to read them stories. Since they were babies, reading has been an opportunity for them all to spend quality time together. The joy of watching her little ones pick out the perfect book, crawl into her lap to listen, interject with questions, then beg for another story is an experience she cherishes.

​

Chauntelle wanted to encourage avid reading and vivid imaginations in her young daughters, and ultimately all children. To do so, she decided to write books about adventures based on things her daughters enjoy and that would capture the attention of other boys and girls.

​

Liv and Leigh’s adventures are depictions of their imaginations and the experiences they share as sisters. Each book takes the reader on a journey where they meet new characters, learn valuable concepts and lessons, and come across new words to add to their vocabulary. The goal of each book is to spark conversation and create teachable moments.

With the Liv and Leigh series, Chauntelle hopes that young children will find joy in reading, learning and using their imaginations to create their own adventures—all while creating a special bond with family.

Kai- The Dog 

​

Liv and Leighs adventures wouldn’t be complete without their trusted companion Kai. Kai is Liv and Leigh’s friendly, calm, and attentive German Shepherd dog. He’s always ready to accompany Liv and Leigh on a new adventure and be a part of their experiences. Kai loves doggy treats...but he’ll also settle for whatever he can find in Liv and Leigh’s snack totes.
